What are your organizational strengths? Weaknesses?

Strength: I am very organized and disciplined.
Weakness: Sometimes I am too organized.

How do you cope and work under pressure? (Please answer in full thoughts/sentences providing real-life examples/situations)

I am not the best under pressure but I avert this problem by fully preparing myself for any task I may encounter. I have dealt with quite a few pressure situations working
as a waiter for difficult customers.

How well do you multi task? (Please answer in full thoughts/sentences providing real-life examples/situations)

Multi tasking is probably one of my strongest qualities. Four years balancing full time at school, work and scheduled volunteering has prepared me well.

How do you deal with criticism? (Please answer in full thoughts/sentences providing real-life examples/situations)

No one enjoys criticism but I always welcome constructive criticism. Working as a Lab Assistant, I have had my fair share of criticisms but I have learned from them.

What will your schedule look like in the 2008-2009 school year? How many hours can you dedicate to the MSA if you are elected? List any external factors such as parents, school, or work that might inhibit your work.

I am taking 3 credits during that semester and probably working numerous hours. I have other responsibilities but i am good at balancing them.

What does MSA mean to you? Why are you getting involved with MSA, other than the fact that you were nominated?

MSA means brotherhood to me. The reason i decided to move forward with this nomination is that I feel I can donate my time to help this organization move towards
creating a greater bond between muslims on campus.

What do you feel the MSA executive board positions you are running for entails, and
why do you feel you are capable of holding such a position?

I would like to run for "Finance" and I believe this job includes financial responsibilities and I would like to help run the organization more fluently by balancing
checks.

What are the main reasons you want to be elected as an MSA executive board member? Include future plans you have in respect to the position.

I want to be elected as board member because I feel I could help create a balanced treasury.

If you lose the elections, what will your course of action be towards the organization (please specify)?

I will continue volunteering and giving my time.

If you are elected, will your parent(s) be supportive of your work with the
organization?

My parents are very supportive of Islamic activities.

Only strengths: creates a bond between muslims

Have you fully read & understood the constitution, have you specifically understood your duties/responsibilities?

Yes i understand.

How well do you work with others? Give an example of when you led a team and how you delegated responsibilities and ensure team cohesiveness.

I work very well with others. An example is at the unity when i managed a food station working with 12 ppl.

Hanafi. I am open to others.

Hadith Of The Week

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 215:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

(who fought in twelve Ghazawat in the company of the Prophet). I heard four things from the Prophet and they won my admiration. He said;

1. "No lady should travel on a journey of two days except with her husband or a Dhi-Mahram;

2. "No fasting is permissible on the two days of Id-ul-Fitr and 'Id-ul-Adha;

3. "No prayer (may be offered) after the morning compulsory prayer until the sun rises; and no prayer after the 'Asr prayer till the sun sets;

4. "One should travel only for visiting three Masajid (Mosques): Masjid-ul-Haram (Mecca), Masjid-ul-Aqsa (Jerusalem), and this (my) Mosque (at Medina)."
