Executive Board Meeting

Start: 10:54 pm - End: 11:40 pm

Present: Ramy, Zeshahn, Hany, Maher, Shan, Ayman, Rania, Hodhaifa and Nousseiba

Absent: no one

1. Opening Du'a by Ramy

2. Some of us had to wait 25 minutes for everyone to be on. When the semester starts that will not happen. Everyone need to come on time.

3. Unity in Diversity

§ Sponsorship:

· Expected Dinner cost $11,000

· Only Collected: $250

· Hodhaifa needs to call everyone to make sure they are on top of it and get updates.

· By Wednesday everyone needs to have contacted their sponsorship. Make time for it

· We have a month and a half need to work on getting sponsorship

§ Program

· Made this last meeting will talk about it next Monday

§ Food/Catering

· Shan needs to finalize everything with Duria’s mother.

· There would be about 7-10 cooks

· Will double check on where they are cooking, the cost and what they need.

· Whatever is purchased they need to keep receipts

§ Hodhaifa needs to make a budget with both estimated and actual costs

§ Speakers

· Ayman talked to Farhan and found both a Jewish speaker and Christian speaker

· Will contact them tomorrow

· Need to research on them as well, look at their works and everything

4. Outreach

· September 8: Jamil Syed

· September 15: Imam Salie

· September 22: Will try to get someone from IAU

5. On Campus

§ Welcome Week - Booth

· Organization Fair – Wednesday September 13: 11 – 2

· Hany and Nousseiba are responsible for it. Get volunteers to run it.

· Will be selling shirts (inshallah if they are made)

¨ Will sell tem for $10 (voted on price and agreed)

¨ Each eboard will also have to pay $10 for a shirt

¨ Will keep them at someone’s house

· Newsletter – Frond and back. A lot of pictures. Shan will make it

· Guide for the Students: include – MSA life, prayer rooms, food, where stuff is, halaqa locations, meetings. Hany and Nousseiba are responsible for making this.

· Put the newsletter and guide in either in a bag or folder, use discretion

§ Social – September 14

· MSA Jepordy – give raffle tickets and 4 people will be selected at one round. Will will get a free MSA shirt

· Work on details

· Food will be served. Get pizza. Will have it for 80 people.

6. Finance

§ Need to make a budget for the fall by Wednesday. For each event

7. Education

§ Halaqa’s will be in the CASL.

§ Food might be every other Halaqa
