1.      Opening Du'a by Zeshahn

 

2.      Unity in Diversity – 4 Weeks left

§          Hodhaifa: Budget: $7,800 – that includes everything: room reservation, food, entertainment

§          Sponsorship - $7,100

·          Collecting contracts this week

·          About 6 sponsors – need to get their logos

¨        Email logos to Shan

§          Fliers

·          The one with the dirt.

·          Islamic Relief and Life’s logo should be on the front

·          Want them printed by the end of this week

·          Will print 5,000 – get a printing quote.

·          Will have 3 weeks to advertise

§          Speakers

·          The Jewish speaker will do it – need to e-mail her the details

·          Christian speaker – need to find one

¨        Talk to Farhan & Gabriel Richards Center

·          Need to decide what the speaker will talk about

¨        Peace – among the 3 religions.

¨        Importance of interfaith –if we do this then they need to avoid the political area

(a)   Go a bit further with that. What each people can do in terms with interfaith

(b)   What has been done in the past, presently and can be done in the future

(c)    What interfaith group has  done in the past and the benefits

§          Food

·          Shan is in charge of it

·          Find out exactly what they need and work on getting it

·          Need to cut down costs as much as possible

¨        Let them know that we can get things for pretty cheap

§          Entertainment

·          Have Mohammad Amer – have his ticket and hotel

·          Poet from New York (Maher knows his name)

¨        Have him for 10-15 minutes

¨        Would need to get a flight and hotel

¨        Does a one man show

¨        Try to have an answer soon and price quote from him

§          Ramy and Hodhaifa will reserve the ovens, fix room setup and stage

§          Getting a tubla group?

 

3.      Mass Meeting for Tomorrow

§          Trying to set membership activism

§          Want to create mini task force under each eboard position except president, vice-president and finance

·          Will call them committee members

§          C-Zone Conference – get a committee going for that. Will hold off on that

§          Will start a volunteer list for unity and iftars

§          Will get ideas for all types of events
