Executive Board Meeting

1. Opening Du'a by Ayman

2. Community Service

§ August 26 – 4 days to get it hyped. Need to work on people coming

§ Shan send out an e-mail to different lists. Put Hany as main contact

3. Shirts

§ Need to find price quotes for long sleeve shirts

§ Discussed some possible shirt designs

§ No separate shirt for Brotherhood and Sisterhood

4. Unity in Diversity

§ Speaker

· Cannot get desired speaker (Suhaib Webb)

· Contacted Kevin Kolo (poet) and he charges

· Muslim Speakers

¨ Imam Salie – ask him to speak at the dinner

¨ Ali Sulaiman Ali

¨ Pervez Ahmed

¨ Sheikh Musa’s Son

¨ Dawud Walid

· Christian Speaker – contact IVCF or Gabriel Richard Center for any one they may know

· Jewish Speaker – ask Farah Latif

§ Entertainment

· The contact agreed to do it – we need to get room, flight.

¨ Need to decide if they we want him to be MC or do a whole entertainment at the end

¨ Will contact other people to find other entertainment groups

§ Food

· There was a discussion on whether we should get the food from local restaurants otherwise we have the option of making it ourselves. Needs everyone’s input on it

§ Flier – Shan made it will send it to the eboard for feedback

5. Education

§ Have 2 halaqas in September, 2 in October and 2 November

6. Socials

§ First social will be the Thursday of welcome week. Needs to check with SAO what they have planned for the week

§ Planned for the field next to the CASL – after discussion it will be in the UC

7. Outreach

§ Have 2 people for Jummah

§ Will start on September 8
